Owner and director of Creative And Confident Kids Tutoring, Melbourne West
Lisa has recently relocated to Point Cook, West Melbourne, Australia with her wonderful husband, early 2015. Lisa is excited to have the opportunity to follow her dream and passions and continue her tutoring service in Point Cook, West Melbourne.
Lisa had a successful tutoring service running in the Blue Mountains in NSW up until she and her husband relocated to Melbourne. [See testimonies]Lisa is the eldest child of seven kids and has been blessed with remarkable parents that brought her and her siblings well and to value kindness, education and pursuit of our dreams.
As an occupational therapist Lisa has worked with adults with disabilities through to children with learning difficulties in a private practice. As a primary school teacher, Lisa brings a unique skill set with a variety of experiences with children having worked in mainstream classroom teaching and also teaching in a variety of community settings throughout the world, e.g. Aboriginal children in Northern Australia and Refugee children on Thailand/Burma border.
Lisa loves the challenge of working one-on-one with students to make learning fun, exciting and rewarding and has a particular passion for coaching children who struggle with the foundations of literacy.
Lisa is passionate about one to one learning with children and enjoys designing creative and interactive lessons that meet the needs of the learner, in the area of literacy, reading and writing.
Her success is built around the relationships Lisa develop with students and parents. This allows her to respectfully challenge students so that whatever is happening for the students is always seen as an opportunity for learning.
At Creative And Confident Kids we specialise in all aspects of
LITERACY: Reading skills, phonics and reading foundations, writing skills,
handwriting, developing ideas for writing, essays, organisation of work, study
skills and anything pertaining to bringing about a confident child in the area
of literacy.
