          Developing reading skills: letter recognition, letter sound recognition, learning to read putting letter blends together, becoming a confident reader (accuracy, fluency and speed).

          Spelling strategies

Learning Sessions:

Sessions take place in Point Cook in a beautiful tutoring room equipped for learning.
Each session is 45 minutes and includes discussion with parents.  I make a point of explicitly sharing what is being learned, with parents, so they are then able to reinforce this learning.
Initial Session: This session will involve an appraisal/screening to get some sense on where your child is. I bring an experienced and a considered approach that can reduce your fears and importantly provide you with a ‘roadmap’ on where to go.

Where possible I favour the option of supporting parents to work with their children so that learning becomes a shared experience. Children in loving relationships are always going to succeed regardless of the issue or difficulty.

At Creative And Confident Kids Tutoring, Melbourne West you can expect these learning outcomes to take place as your child progresses:

·        To receive learning sessions which match their particular learning style and needs as a learner;

·        To enjoy their learning sessions through interactive and creative sessions which engage them as a learner;

·        To more likely ‘have a go’ when attempting challenging areas as they gain more confidence and skills;

·        To demonstrate significant improvements in competency in their challenging areas of literacy.

Service Fees:

Initial screening is $60.00 (one hour and includes a ‘parent friendly’ report of goals we will work on)

Sessions are then $50.00 each
